Yesterday, 3 co-workers and I loaded up the car at lunch time and rode out to the CSA’s farm. They had an over abundance of veggies, so she was selling to people who weren’t members. They were eager to check out the veggies (I’m hoping to get them to join with me!!), and I was so curious to see the farm. The trip was great! Their farm is much smaller than I thought. They have a large agricultural operation (potatoes, mostly, I think), but then the CSA farm is solely for that and their family. It’s beautiful and I could have stayed all day!! I realized right before we left that I had my little red camera. I should have gone out to take pictures in the farm field, but I didn’t. I did snap a few shots of their chicken coop (they didnt come out great) and their beagle pups! SO SWEET. I want one!
Anyway, I made a veggie discovery and I need to correct my earlier post!! I thought these beautiful greens were beet greens. I found out they were swiss chard. Close enough, but here’s my correction!

Today I’m off to the garden center to get lots of dirt and my veggies for planting! We’re doing a much bigger garden this summer and I can’t wait! Have a great Saturday!
