Last night was, by far, one of the most intense cooking club night’s we’ve ever had! I had NO IDEA that making sausage was so much work. PHEW. This might be because we were using the Kitchenaid sausage attachment, but we powered through it!! Each of us rotated through, taking turns on the different stations (loading the hopper, shoving it down, holding the sausage coming out) and that helped tremendously. There are few pictures below of us making the sausages. What an adventure! I’ll also be posting the recipes we made over the week. We weren’t ready to sit and eat until 10 pm! We were SO TIRED at that point, that nobody ate a lot, but that’s ok because (1) We had a great time and (2) We got LEFTOVERS!!
That’s me loading the hopper (wearing gloves because there were hot peppers in the mix!), Kevin goofing off pushing the sausage down, and Rob holding the final product. This was our first batch – pork, chipotle, and cheese. YUM. SUPER spicy!!

Then we had miles and miles of sausages that we needed to make into links.

Here’s the final product. We grilled them. SO GOOD. And so huge! LOL

More recipes, pictures, and tales coming this week….
